Two therapists working two clients, simultaneously, in the same room. The format that turns a weekend in Amsterdam into something else.
Couples massage in our format is two therapists working two clients in the same room at the same time. It is not the same as a four-hand massage (two therapists, one client) and it is not a sequential booking where each partner takes a turn. The point of the format is the shared experience — both partners arriving at the same calm at the same moment.
You need space for two parallel working surfaces. A standard hotel room is sometimes too small; a deluxe room or executive suite is comfortable; a long-term apartment with a generous bedroom or living-room works perfectly. The therapists arrive with their own portable massage sheets and set up the working spaces on arrival.
Two therapists arrive together at the agreed time. Each does a short consultation with their client. The sessions then run in parallel — same start time, same close, sometimes synchronised pacing, sometimes diverging by client preference. The sessions are independent in technique but bound in time.
The two clients do not have to book the same technique. One can choose sensual; the other can choose tantra. The two therapists are aware of each other's pacing and adjust the room as a whole. Most couples book the same technique because the shared rhythm is part of the appeal, but the format flexes.
We pair carefully. Some pairings work better than others — therapists who have worked together previously, who are comfortable in synchronised work, who balance each other in style. If you have specific preferences (one of you wants a particular nationality or specific therapist), tell us and we pair accordingly.
Anniversary weekends. Birthday occasions. The first night of a city break in Amsterdam. Same-sex couples and mixed couples; long-term partners and people on a first weekend together. Most couples bookings are ninety minutes; some run two hours. The format does not particularly benefit from durations longer than two hours — beyond that the space becomes the limiting factor.
Two simultaneous sessions: €360 per hour. Two hours: €720. Three hours: €1,080. The rate is two practitioners working simultaneously; pricing is two-times the standard hourly rate.
Yes.
Possible but unusual. The format works best when both bookings end at the same time. Speak to us about the specifics.
No — four-hand is two therapists working a single client. Couples is two therapists working two clients.
48 hours is comfortable for weekday bookings. Saturdays book up — a week is better.
We pair on the basis of the booking. Tell us if either partner has a strong preference.
