Half the fee confirms most bookings here, your first one included, and what a cancellation costs depends on the notice you give. A returning client's same-day session of one or two hours is the one booking paid in full on arrival.
Massage in Amsterdam is an outcall service, so every session happens in the room where you are staying. Half the fee, paid before the therapist leaves, is what confirms most bookings. The reply on the WhatsApp thread names that deposit in writing, and she sets out once the payment has come through. The other half falls due when she arrives.
Exactly one kind of booking is paid in full on arrival instead: a same-day session of one or two hours, with one therapist, for a client the house has looked after before. Change any part of that description and the deposit applies again. Someone booking for the first time pays it however short the session and however soon it starts, and a session of three hours or longer carries it even when it is for tonight.
A deposit of half the listed fee is asked for on each of these:
Worked through, the arithmetic stays simple, because one rule covers every row of the table. Whatever the booking comes to, the deposit is half of it and the balance on arrival is the other half. A night with one therapist splits that way; so does a night a couple shares, a night with two therapists, a two-hour booking with two therapists, a session of three hours whether it is for tonight or for next week, and a newcomer's first hour or first ninety minutes. Inside the ring nothing is added for the hour of the night or the day of the week, so half the figure printed on a therapist's profile is the deposit in full.
The deposit is part of the fee. When you cancel, the house keeps only the part of the fee it has already earned when your message arrives. You never owe damages for cancelling. The part kept depends on the notice you give:
If the hour you cancelled is booked by another client, the house returns the whole deposit. Where you can show the house lost less than it kept, it keeps only the smaller sum. No other charge is made when a booking is cancelled.
You may move a booking once at no cost. The request must reach the booking thread more than 24 hours before the booked time. The new date must fall within 14 days of the original date. Meet both conditions and the deposit moves across to the new date in full. A further move, or a move requested within 24 hours of the booked time, is measured on the cancellation scale above as at the moment the request arrives. Whatever part of the deposit the scale does not keep moves to the new date.
If plans look shaky, write sooner rather than later: a message sent on the morning of an evening booking is already inside the final day.
Prices on this site are in euro, and the euro figure is the price of the booking. A card payment is the usual way to send the deposit. Revolut, Wise and cryptocurrency are accepted as well, for a client who prefers one of them. Before your therapist sets out, the exact deposit and the way to pay it are confirmed to you in writing in the booking conversation. The balance is paid on arrival, in cash or by card. Cash in another major currency is accepted, and the exact amount in that currency is confirmed to you in writing before she sets out. The booking page shows the messages in the order they are exchanged.
If a booking taken without a deposit is cancelled before your therapist has set out, there is nothing to pay. If it is cancelled after she has set out, the house asks only for the part of the fee that her journey represents.
If the house is unable to deliver a booking, including where serious illness or a government order prevents it, you choose what happens to the deposit. You may have it returned in full. You may instead keep it in place for a new date, and there is no time limit on choosing one. If the therapist you booked cannot come, you are told before she would have set out, and you either choose someone else on the roster or take the deposit back.
Changes on the guest's side are another matter. A meeting that overran, a cold, a flight moved by the airline, a switch of hotel or a simple change of mind is a cancellation, and the notice scale covers it.
If you end a session before the booked time, the full fee remains due. The hour was reserved for you, your therapist made the journey, and the remaining minutes cannot be offered to anyone else.
What a session includes, and where her limits sit, is for your therapist to decide. Where her safety or comfort is disregarded, or a limit she has named is pressed, she ends the visit at that moment. She is in your room by then, the hour having been held for you and her journey already made, so the fee for the time reserved remains due. Nothing further is charged on top of that fee.
A booking is a false booking if it meets one of these criteria:
A missed appointment on its own does not make a booking false. The notice scale deals with it as a cancellation.
When a booking meets one of these criteria, or when a visit ends because a limit was pressed, the house writes a short internal note. It holds three things: the date, what happened, and the name and number used for the booking. The note is kept for twelve months and is then deleted. Nobody outside the house sees it, and it goes to no other person or business. The house uses the note for one purpose only, which is deciding whether to accept a further booking from the same person. What is recorded, and how to object to the note or have it corrected or removed, is set out on the privacy page. The house may report the matter to the police when what happened could amount to a criminal offence.
A guest who books under his own name, from his own number, and opens the door at the agreed time will never come near any of this. It exists for the women on the roster, who travel across the city alone and often late, into rooms they have not seen before, on the strength of a few messages.
A booking made by message is a contract concluded at a distance. The rules for distance contracts are in Book 6 of the Dutch Civil Code, articles 6:230m to 6:230z, which carry the EU Consumer Rights Directive into Dutch law. Under those articles a consumer can normally withdraw from a distance contract within fourteen days. Article 6:230p lists contracts to which that right does not apply, and one category on the list is services related to leisure activities where the contract fixes a specific date or period. Each booking with this house is for a named hour on a named day, and that is the kind of contract the exception is for. The fourteen-day right therefore does not arise.
A same-day booking rests on a second footing as well. Before your therapist sets out, the booking conversation asks you to confirm that you want the session performed at once and that you understand the fourteen-day right will not apply once it has been performed.
Everything else that governs a booking is in the terms of service, and general questions are answered in the FAQ.
